Why Clean Rain Gutter Interiors?
Your rain gutters perform the critical task of collecting rainwater from the roof and channeling it safely away from the structure. Down pipes choked with gutter debris and leaves cause water to overflow uncontrollably and damage the roof, siding, paint, interior walls, basement, foundation, and landscaping resulting in expensive gutter repairs. Weight from rain in debris filled gutters can loosen the mounting brackets and eventually pull the gutters away from the structure. Debris that remains in gutters with clogged down pipes will decay into a moisture-laden sludge that accelerates the deterioration of the gutters and creates an environment where vegetation can grow. Standing water attracts unwanted birds and creates the ideal environment for breeding mosquitoes in your gutter.

Nine years ago at AcroTech we abandoned the traditional methods of rain gutter cleaning in favor of a more environmentally friendly, innovative technology. We discovered the following after years of Power.
Washing & Hand Cleaning gutters
Power Washing:
With pressure washing it was extremely difficult to control debris. Cleanup was extensive, disruptive to residents and we consumed a large amount of clean water. When it was all done it may look good however under the
pressure of water, moisten laden sludge (organic debris) was forced up under the roofing materials and in behind the fascia board. This method would initiate premature rot of the roofing system and result in extensive and expensive repairs.
Hand Cleaning Gutters
On the surface the more common hand cleaning method appeared to be superior to power washing for several reasons. We soon discovered the person cleaning would often remove the large gutter debris by hand, then take a garden hose and flush moisten laden sludge into the down pipes. If all of the sludge made it through the down pipes it could then be found in the parameter drainage system.
Clients would be unaware of this growing pile of gutter debris until the foundations or basements would start to leak from the clogged drain tile. This problem would result in extensive parameter drainage excavations and was extremely expensive to repair.
